TfNSW ROADWORKS BURLEY GRIFFIN WAY & OLYMPIC HWY

Transport for NSW is planning to carry out road resurfacing work on the Burley Griffin Way to provide a safer and smoother road between Stockinbingal and Wallendbeen.

A 2.5-kilometre section of the Burley Griffin Way will be resurfaced. Working between Stockinbingal Road and Yeo Yeo Road from Monday 26 February to Tuesday 30 April 2024, weather permitting.

Work hours are between 7am and 6pm Monday to Saturday.

Motorists should plan their journey and allow an extra five minutes’ travel time.

NO CHANGES TO GARBAGE COLLECTION SERVICES
The Cootamundra Waste Facility will be closed on Good Friday (29 March 2024) and Easter Sunday (31 March 2024). The facility will also be closed Anzac Day 25 April 2024.
Administration offices in Cootamundra & Gundagai will be closed for Easter – 29 March to 1 April 2024.
The Gundagai Visitor Information Centre hours of operation – Good Friday: 10:00am – 3:00pm – Easter Saturday: CLOSED, Easter Sunday: CLOSED, Easter Monday: 10:00am – 3:00pm

COOTAMUNDRA LIBRARY RENOVATIONS

Commencing in March, the library will be closed for several weeks while our furniture, carpets, and circulation desk are replaced, the building is painted, the lights are replaced, and new IT systems are installed. Library items available by free home delivery: Mon, Tues, Wed, Friday. The returns chute will be open.

PUBLIC FORUM

Members of the general public are invited to attend Council meetings and, with the prior approval of the Chair, may address Council in the Public Forum Session on specific topics listed on the Council meeting agenda. People wishing to address Council are asked to submit a Speaker Registration Form well in advance of the meeting.

Council meetings are to be conducted in accordance with the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council Code of Meeting Practice, the Code. Amongst other things, the Code specifies that no more than two (2) speakers are permitted to speak ‘for’ or ‘against’ any item of business on the agenda.  If there are more than two (2) speakers proposed on any one topic a process will need to be applied to ensure proceeding are orderly.

2024 ORDINARY MEETINGS OF COUNCIL

Ordinary Meetings of Council meetings will be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month. (except December).  The next Ordinary meeting will be held on Tuesday26 March 2024, Council Chambers, Sheridan Street Gundagia commencing, and livestreamed from 6pm.  Members of the public may address Council on matters related to an associated agenda item, as part of the Public Forum.
