Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Bulahdelah NSW, Old Inn Road Vineyard in NSW stands as a testament to the rich heritage of winemaking around the Hunter Valley and Mid-North Coast region. Situated amidst rolling hills and lush vineyards, our estate boasts a serene ambiance that beckons wine enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
The Old Inn Road vineyard is located approximately 5km west of Bulahdelah, and is a great little vineyard on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. The region’s fresh Spring rain, long sunny days and mild dry Winters make it an ideal environment for cultivating specific grape varieties. We pride ourselves on crafting exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of our vineyard. Our meticulously tended vines, coupled with sustainable farming practices, yield grapes of unparalleled quality, ensuring each bottle tells a story of our dedication to excellence.
In 2008, the vineyard was planted with Verdelho, Chambourcin, and Dolcetto grapes, and the vineyard infrastructure was gradually upgraded over time, leading to the first commercial vintage wine produced in 2012. The vineyard area is fully netted to ensure the best possible berry quality and to protect the fruit from bird predation.
The Bradshaw Latin motto, “qui vit content tient assez,” which means “he who lives contentedly has enough,” perfectly encapsulates the philosophy of the vineyard’s owners, Dale Bradshaw and Sooze Bosire. They established the vineyard on their property as part of their retirement plan and because of their shared passion for wine. Despite living in Sydney at the time, they regularly commuted for two years on Monday nights to study viticulture and winemaking at Kurri TAFE to ensure a solid foundation for their venture.
Dale’s two daughters, Sarah and Bri, and Bri’s husband Josh Beach, also contribute to the vineyard’s operations by assisting during the vintage and at local farmer’s markets.
