Runs

Wagga Wagga Road Runners weekly runs are complimented by many club member organised runs.

On this page you will find information about the regular runs that the club and it’s members hold during the week.

Saturday Runs

WWRR Calendar 2024 (.pdf download)

The club’s main run each week takes place on Saturday throughout the whole year. The run takes place in a different location each month, starting at 7.30am during October, November, December, January, February, and March, and at 8:30am all other months. There is a short course (3 – 5km) and a long course (7 – 10km), and a medium run (5km – 7km). On the last Saturday of each month there is a handicapped start to the runs followed by a barbecue.

To help pay for the monthly barbecue there is a fee for the Saturday run, as follows:

Members: $2 individuals, $3 family

Non-Members: $4 individuals, $5 family

If you would like to assist with a run, or have an idea for a new run, please contact the president.

Wednesday Evening Pomingalarna Run

Each Wednesday evening many club members run a 8km lap of Wagga’s Pominglarna Reserve. Runs start at the top of Bagley Drive from 6pm year round. The run is on fire trail, with a few hill climbs along the course. During darker months headlights are needed to complete the run in the dark.

Runners and walkers of all capability are welcome to come along for this social group run. Members take turns to bring along drinks for a quiet sip after the run.

Sunday Runs

On most Sunday mornings there are often training runs for long distance runners. These training runs are organised by members, with runs of different distance, speed, hill or flat occurring, often targeted at upcoming races. If you are looking for a longer Sunday morning training run ask around on the Saturday regular run for information on start times and locations.
