EmpireState1972 Families - TripAdvisor review

This was our 8th hotel we stayed in on our Australia trip and this room was one of the better places we stayed in. Clean, comfortable beds and great shower. Paid extra for the buffet breakfast and we enjoyed everything that was on offer. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Hi there Luckily your team could relocate me, but the first room I arrived in smelled like a men’s locker room. Not ideal. The staff were good thought and dealt with it well. Thanks Barrie

Stand alone check-in stations were new to me but there was a lovely lady there to assist. Room was comfortable for a short stay.

Unprofessional staff and client engagement program is terrible

Stayed overnight in the hotel; checked out on 3rd May and left an expensive piece of new clothing in the room; called on 4th to secure it and made 4 calls in a week; no call backs and finally on my fourth call told house keeping not found anything or disposed off as per some strange hotel policy. No one in sane mind would throw an expensive and new clothing in trash in and not report to management.. Bizarre policy and no call back to update on the finding is utterly unprofessional. Never I would think or recommend booking in IBIS chain.

I booked on behalf of my father who arrived late at night for surgery the next day. I tried to call numerous times during the day to check on the booking and make payment so my dad did not have to worry. No phone call was answered. The staff member checking him in would not take payment over the phone, meaning he had to pay himself out of very limited funds. Unhappy as this could have been avoided.
