Description:
When you know how, alpacas and llamas are quite easy to train. At this hands-on workshop, you can meet our herd of around 200 alpacas and llamas, and learn how to successfully interact with them.
Having trouble with a particular animal? Book him in too!
( not partners or husbands …just Alpacas or Llamas 🤭).
In this workshop you will learn:
The secrets of training.
Reading their body language
Gaining your animal’s trust using your body language
How to approach your animal
Advance and retreat
Food Rewards (and non-food rewards)
Putting on a head collar
Making sure the head collar fits well
Attaching a rope
Lead training

Urgent notice to our supporters and event clients.
We have had to declare our Breakfast and Llama walk events to be held on Saturday 6th April, cancelled due to the bad weather forecast. Entry in and out of the farm is likely to more severely affected than elsewhere with such heavy rain. We trust you understand our decision being for the comfort of all concerned.

Join us for our next fun and exciting Llama walk event on Saturday 06/04/2024. On arrival, guests will be able to pet and feed our beautiful llamas and then will choose one of our lovely Llamas to take on a walk around the farm. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about these amazing animals and get up close and personal with them. There are only 8 spaces for this event.
