Little Salmon Bay (RI 26) is located 400 m east of Salmon Point in a 60 m wide gap in the bordering 20 m high calcarenite bluffs which continue east for 500 m to Parker Point. The steep reflective beach is fronted by 80 m wide shallow sandy seafloor, then patchy reefs and rocks, which lower waves to less than 1 m at the shore. The island road clips the rear of this popular swimming
