Closed for repair

Dear Valued Visitors,

Due to some major maintenance being done in the Museum – Two floors are being replaced.

The Museum will be closed from 7th June 2023 until Saturday 5th August 2023.

We apologise for any inconvenience that the closure might cause but rest assured that we shall be open again as soon as possible.

If you have any research enquiries, please send them to boorowamuseum@gmail.com and our research officer will be happy to investigate it for you.

Christmas and New Year Closure

The Boorowa and District Historical Society and Museum will be taking a break over the Christmas and New Year period.

The Museum will close at 2pm on 17-12-2022 and will reopen at 11am on 14-1-2023.

We would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful volunteers for all their help and assistance this year.

We would also like to thank the visitors who have visited and encourage everyone to come back and visit again in the new year.

Update on Museum

The Boorowa and District Historical Society and Museum is pleased to announce that due to grants and donations.

The Museum will be building a footpath from the main building to the outer building making it easier for all abilities to enjoy the outdoor displays.

The Museum will also be touching up the paint on the front of the building, weather permitting.

The freshly painted museum central doors and veranda, big thank you to Kerry Allen for the painting.

New building opened

After many years we have had our new building officially opened by The Honorable Wendy Tuckerman on April 29th, 2022.

The building incorporates a new storeroom, the print studio, to house the original Printing Press from the Boorowa News and a much-needed toilet.

Reopening

The Boorowa and District Historical Society is pleased to announce we will be reopening on Saturday the 5th of February 2022 at 10am until 1pm.

The Museum will then be open every Thursday and Saturday from 10am until 1pm.

Due to Covid restrictions all visitors must; At least double vaccinated, wear a mask and follow social distancing rules.

Covid Closure

The Museum management has made the unfortunate decision to keep the Museum closed until further notice due to the current Covid situation.
