See Maitland on foot and not through a brochure!  A Taste of Maitland walking tour is the best way to delve into Maitland's rich history, stunning architecture, creative laneways and coffee culture.  Your friendly local guide will provide insights into how Maitland has evolved and reveal things you would never discover on your own, sharing local stories and fun facts throughout the tour.

Discover how Maitland was founded, who were the people who's vision shaped our city, be educated around some of our most iconic buildings and find out who was the Flying Pieman?  So much to see and hear about on this fascinating tour!

This tour is perfect for locals to gain a deeper understanding of Maitland and feel like a tourist in your own town.  Covering approx 1km of walking at a medium pace finishing at the East end of Maitland with beer tastings.  The tour is wheelchair accessible however not suited to children.

Time: 9.00am - 12.00pm

Walking tour numbers: We require a minimum of 4 people for the tour to proceed.  Maximum tour numbers are 12. 

Cost: $90.00pp

Dress Code - Wear comfortable, closed in shoes & bring a rain jacket or umbrella in inclement weather. 

Meeting Point -  Your tour starts at the fountain outside Maitland Library, 480 High Street Maitland.  We suggest you park in either the St Andrews Street or The Riverside Carpark.

Please be prompt and contact me if you are running late or cannot attend the tour.  Due to the nature of the tour, we will be unable to wait for you if you are running late, however can direct you to the next venue and look forward to seeing you there.

A Taste of Maitland is a public, ticketed walking tour, however can also be booked as a private walking tour for family and friends on a date that suits.
