OFF SEASON: Working Dogs Truffles and Vines

From AUD $590.00
  • Duration: 6 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Pipers Brook, Tasmania
  • Product code: OFF24

This experience is for one day only, Saturday 3rd August at two
locations 45 minutes Northeast of Launceston, as part of a special event
curated for the OFF-SEASON program of events.

Guests will arrive at Pipers Brook Truffles in the morning and be escorted on a truffle hunt
guided by Diego the Kelpie, who is trained to sniff out the elusive truffles
from beneath the fertile soils of Pipers Brook. You will have the
opportunity to learn about the intricacies of truffle cultivation as well as
how to use this unique ingredient at home.

Following the truffle hunt, a relaxing lunch encompassing gourmet truffle produce will be

enjoyed within the rustic farm environment at Pipers Brook Truffles, before
continuing along to Pipers River Vineyard, home of the House of Arras Cellar
Door.

Here you will experience tasting through some of the spectacular wine crafted in our 30 year
history as Australia's most awarded sparkling wine producer. You’ll be escorted
by a second working dog, Flinders the Border Collie as we head into the
vineyard to learn about the winter pruning methods that we undertake to bring
out the best in our vineyards, and why this leads to some of our wines being
awarded the world's best accolades.

The day will finish at Pipers River at approximately 4:30, not long before it gets dark.

This OFF-SEASON package includes an Embroidered Apron and special Truffle Shaver to take home, and all the pats and attention from two very talented working dogs.
