Frequently asked questions about our DSLR photography masterclass
What camera do I need to take photos at night time?
Modern smartphones are getting better at taking photos at night although they still don’t provide the same breadth of functionality or quality as a DSLR camera. This course is specifically designed for DSLR or mirrorless DSLR owners who want to learn about advanced techniques in photography.
Is this course in a class room or outdoors?
We do not do boring photography courses in a classroom where you look at theory. Our courses are hands-on, practical and you go outside where you can learn and try new techniques at your own pace with an accredited trainer.
Do I need to be an experienced with my DSLR camera for this course?
We do recommend that anyone taking this course are confident in using their DSLR camera as we will very briefly cover the basics but venture into the more advanced features very quickly.
For those who are not confident we recommend our Beginner Photography Course to get started.
Can I learn to use a DSLR off the automatic mode?
We have specifically designed this course so that you can feel confident about switching from the automatic mode to either AV or TV settings or even full Manual. We gradually step through the learning needed during the day to feel confident in trying these other settings with practical lessons and hands on guidance.
