April 2024 Tours

Sun 28 Apr

  • 8:30 am - Dove Canyon (min age 15)
    Dove Canyon (min age 15)

Wilderness + Adrenalin + Adventure = Dove Canyon. If you're after an unforgettable experience in Tasmania, you've come to the right place. The Dove Canyon showcases wild Tasmania at its best. This trip involves a thrilling combination of jumps, slides and abseils buried in a 50 metre deep quartzite canyon. Definitely one to write home about.

This option is for the adventurous and intrepid. You do not need any previous canyoning or abseiling experience, but we recommend customers are physically fit, MUST be able to swim and have a great sense of adventure. The minimum age for this tour is 15.

We also provide a tasty lunch on this tour and photos are included for no extra cost.

Wed 1 May

  • 9:00 am - Dove Lake Kayaking (min age 6)
Dove Lake Kayaking (min age 6)

Join us for a three hour tour kayaking on the iconic Dove Lake in kayaks hand-built from King Billy pine.

The view of Cradle Mountain with Dove Lake in the foreground is one of the most iconic images of the Australian Wilderness and this tour provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in that vista.

The kayaks you will be paddling have been lovingly hand-crafted over hundreds of hours from King Billy pine - a very special timber prized by boat builders and only found in Tasmania.

Our kayaks are doubles. If travelling solo, or in a group with odd numbers, you will be paired up with another client or a guide.

    Available: 6

Tue 7 May

  • 8:30 am - Machinery Canyon (min age 13)
    Fully booked
    Machinery Canyon (min age 13)

Big waterfalls, big cliffs and lots of history are what we find in Machinery Creek. Abseiling is a key focus on this tour, with six waterfalls we descend with the use of ropes. The biggest is Petrifying Falls, as named by explorer Henry Hellyer in the early 1800s (we’ll tell you why when
    you come along!).

This is a full day out and participants need to be fit. There is less current, so an ability to swim is not required.

If it’s your first time with us, we recommend doing Dove Canyon before this one. Dove Canyon is more subject to flooding than Machinery Creek, so we sometimes move Dove Canyon tours to Machinery Creek if it is raining.

Ring us to enquire about Machinery Creek – you won’t find it
    bookable on the website.
