Sunday is a full-sized traditional Queenslander with soaring ceilings, VJ walls and painted wooden floors throughout. Fully renovated in 2020, she now has newly insulated walls, ceilings and original wooden floors but has retained her history with decorative windows, fretwork and original Queenslander features. Sunday offers guests the chance to stay in 3 bedrooms and a traditional sleep-out area, dining room, lounge room, renovated kitchen, renovated bathroom and separate toilet. There is a fully enclosed front and back deck with sliding windows to keep you warmer in winter – think suntrap – and cooler in the warmer months with plenty of natural ventilation. Our back deck has an outdoor table and chairs and provides an all-year-round outdoor dining option that is undercover. Sunday’s dining room has been fitted out with a new large wood-fired heater that keeps the house toasty warm. We love sinking into our leather chair by the fire and reading a book! Our outdoor firepit has comfortable seating for 8 and is a great location for a sundowner or toasting marshmallows (dependent on fire restrictions). Mount Mackenzie is minutes away and Sunday is the perfect location for mountain bike enthusiasts – you will be on the mountain in minutes. Tenterfield Village and its shops, cafes, galleries and museums are only a 7-minute drive away. Located on 15 acres with inspiring views of Mount Mackenzie and peace and quiet at night – it’s all yours exclusively to enjoy. Bedroom 1: Master Bedroom with queen-size bed, fan, heater, electric blanket. Designed for 2 guests. Included in a standard booking. Bedroom 2: queen-size bed, fan, heater, electric blanket. Designed for 2 guests. Included in a standard booking. Bedroom 3: queen size bed, fan, heater, electric blanket. Designed for 2 guests. This room is not included in a standard booking and is locked when not in use. Sleep-Out: 2 x memory foam pull-out sofa beds, heater. Each pull-out sofa bed can sleep 1 - 2 adults. Additional $60 per night per person hire charges apply if a guest wants sole use of a bed in bedroom three or for use of the sofa bed when travelling in a party of 4. Additional nightly charges apply for more than 4 guests. We don’t accept pets under any circumstances. This is also a no-smoking property.
