Who is Land’s Edge?
Established 20 years ago the Land’s Edge Surf School is one of the most reputable surf schools on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia and the longest running in the Illawarra. It provides individuals and other groups as well as families the opportunity to experience the thrill of riding waves.
Participants take with them the memory of a positive experience as well as the skills and knowledge to continue surfing and spending time at the beach in a safe manner. All Land’s Edge Surf School lessons are conducted by professional and highly experienced surfing instructors who are local residents with expert knowledge about local surfing conditions and the surrounding environment of Seven Mile Beach and the South Coast of NSW.
Our Lessons
Land’s Edge lessons include all equipment and have a staff to participant ratio of no more than 1:8

Land’s Edge holds all permissions and licenses applicable to the areas in which we operate.

Equipment is of the highest standard using ‘soft’, safe and stable surf boards & high quality wetsuits.
Safety Record
Land’s Edge Surf School has an impeccable safety track record. Prior to lessons Land’s Edge liaises with groups/individuals regarding relevant paperwork including risk management, public liability, child protection, student medical forms and educational resources.
Our Location
Land’s Edge Surf School is located in the spectacular Illawarra region of NSW, only 1.5 to 2 hours south of Sydney.
Seven Mile Beach is renowned not only for its safe water conditions but also for consistently having perfect size waves on which to learn to surf.
Land’s Edge operates from the North end of this magnificent stretch of beach.
