WinterSun is an annual winter celebration of our town’s connection to the water that surrounds us. Staged in Merimbula over the three days of the June long weekend, celebrations include cold water swims, trail running/walking and a street party done in the way only Merimbula knows how!

It takes a village to put on an event like this and we’re so thankful to the raft of generous, local businesses that truly support out town and our festival.
We have a swag of fabulous prizes to give away during WinterSun. Our swimmers are in the running for a dinner voucher from Wheelers Seafood restaurant, products from Dodd and Dwyer Capital Chemist hampers and vouchers from Mitchies Espresso Bar.
Our Wharf to Wharf challengers could score themselves cash prizes from Horizon Bank and will travel up to the starting line in style courtesy of Sapphire Coast Bus Lines.

Fly into town via the revamped Merimbula Airport, pick up a hire car from Hertz, stay at Pelican Motor Inn right in the centre of town, or South Seas for the vibe, or up at Hillcrest for the views, head down to Fishpen Charters for a day on the water, pick up some cool threads from Day Trip Store on the way plus, sunscreen and a hat from Capital Chemist, grab a coffee at Mitchies Espresso Bar when you get there. A famous pie from Wild Ryes for lunch, (in a compostable tray from McCoys packaging), tire the kids out with some epic bowling, laser tag and mini golf at Top Fun and then onto an amazing dinner at Wheelers Seafood Restaurant.
