Improve your brushstroke and colour skills in this easy and relaxing watercolour class. Explore motifs and patterns from the Ottoman and Mughal Islamic periods. In this class, participants will use traditional watercolour pigments on hand-made deckle edge papers in which designs will be pre-traced on. All classes part of this series will be conducted together and you will have the option of choosing your own design templates. You will have the option of choosing one large A4 watercolour paper, or two A5 papers.

This series is about celebrating the intricate patterns found in historic manuscripts showcased beautifully in the artistic traditions of the Safavid, Ottoman, and Mughal periods.

The series combines three classes into one; floral motifs, Iznik & Tezhip and Islamic geometry.

Mughal, Geometric and Iznik Patterns

The series intertwines the elegance of Mughal and Islamic floral motifs, the precision of geometric designs, and the enchanting Turkish Iznik patterns. In this class you will use premium watercolour pigments on handmade deckle-edge papers.
