Two hideaways, powered by solar, wind and gas, offer pure relaxation on 100 acres of rainforest, bush and meadows, overlooking magnificent Cloudy Bay. Situated on pristine South Bruny Island, the location is private and serene. Relax and unwind in these beautifully appointed hideaways, with panoramic views from your rooms. Sit on the deck and enjoy the abundant endemic wildlife and scenery, after a day of exploring, wine and produce tasting, fishing, surfing, bush-walking, bike-riding, cruising or simply relaxing.

Getting There : HUNDRED ACRE HIDEAWAY is located on the side of Mount Mangana overlooking Cloudy Bay, South Bruny Island. After disembarking from the ferry at Roberts Point drive South along the main road for approximately 36kms to Alonnah, past the local school, Hotel Bruny, past the vineyard/winery until you reach the next small township of Lunawanna.
At the T-INTERSECTION TURN LEFT. Drive approximately 1.5km until you reach Coolangatta Road on the left (on some Google Maps it appears as Main Road or Clemmetts Road, but you are looking for the Coolangatta Road street sign). TURN LEFT INTO COOLANGATTA ROAD, DRIVE TO THE FIRST BEND IN THE ROAD approximately 500m. THIS IS OUR GATE and has a silver and black metal sign with wooden frame.
THIS IS THE ENTRANCE. Open the gate (shut it after please due to livestock). Drive down the winding driveway through the valley, Up the mountain side to your hideaway.

Barrel - Hot Tub 1
This Hideaway faces south overlooking fields, valleys, Cloudy Bay Lagoon, Cloudy Bay and beyond to the southern ocean. The uninterrupted views stretch from East Cloudy Head across to Cape Bruny.
The Hot Tub is a western red cedar wood fired tub in the style of a large, deep wine barrel in the North Amercian tradition. It is suitable for 2-4 people, is filled with fresh mountain water and is lit and heated for your arrival. Sunken into a private deck with magnificent views it offers days of blissful, therapeutic hot soaking and immersion in the natural environment.
Inside, the contemporary open plan living features a spacious Queen bedroom, living room with sofa bed, cosy wood heater, TV, CD, DVD and a generous supply of books, magazines, music, movies and games. The kitchen/dining area is spacious and well appointed with a tasteful balance of furnishings and artwork. The bathroom has a large shower, laundry tub and hand basin with wall to wall mirror. The well equipped kitchen offers a pantry of complimentary goods for your convenience including pasta, rice, oil, teas and freshly ground coffee.
**In the event of a fireban, unfortunately the Barrel (hot tub) fire cannot be used. If you are staying in the Barrel Hideaway, we will arrange to have the tub filled via gas hot water, ready for when you arrive. Then the next day the tub can be enjoyed as a plunge pool.**

Booking Policy
A government issued valid ID proof will be required.
Deposit Policy
You'll be charged a $200 prepayment of the total price on booking a reservation.
Cancellation Policy
Reservations require a $200 prepayment for all bookings, with final payment due 30 days prior to booking.
Your deposit less a $75 administration fee, will be refunded if 30+ days notice of cancellation is given prior to occupancy.
Date changes where 30+ days notice is given of change, are permitted at the discretion of management. Date changes where 14+ days notice is given of change, are permitted at the discretion of management, however a $50 change fee will apply. Date changes will not be permitted where 13 days or less notice is given.
Cancellations between 14-29 days from booked arrival date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations of 13 days or less from booked arrival date, including no shows, will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
