The idea for Cradle Mountain Canyons began when they discovered that a world-class canyon existed right on the doorstep of Cradle Mountain. The Dove Canyon can only be explored by canyoning, as it is hidden by 50 metre sheer quartzite walls. Waldheim Chalet provides visitors with an insight into the early history of the Cradle Mountain area and the people who played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park.
