Brave the Bass Strait elements this winter for self-care, relaxation and rejuvenation for this all-inclusive* winter escape for a maximum of 6 people to Flinders Island staying at the beautifully appointed, Faraway on Flinders Island.

Winter Offer Long Weekends are

  1. Friday 24th – Monday 27th May
  2. Friday 7th – Monday 10th June
  3. Friday 28th June – Monday 1st July 
  4. Friday 23rd – Monday 26th Aug

$19,200 gst inclusive. Flat fee whether one person or six (which works out as $3,200 per person for six people) but please be assured if you are fewer than six, you will be treated to extra personal attention and lots of extra-special food and drink treats.

We have a couple of ways to pay for your stay. We are able to take card payments however a card transaction fee will apply. Payment by direct deposit is also an option which will not incur a fee.

*Feed Your Soul winter escape for six people includes twin share room with ensuite (king single beds or king bed), All transport excluding flights to and from Flinders Island, all meals (alcohol not included), all activities and experiences including guided interpretive bush walks, yoga and mindfulness sessions, and massage.

Getting to your winter escape on Flinders Island

For this winter getaway, we suggest you consider flying to Flinders Island from Launceston with charter flight operator Flinders Island Aviation utilising their new Helicopter Service called Unique Charters which can land you right on the grounds of Faraway on Flinders Island where you will be based. What a way to start your escape!

 

Or, get picked up from your Launceston hotel door by Flinders Island Aviation for a sparkling wine tour through the Eastern Wine Route to Bridport where you will connect with a scenic flight with to Lady Barron on Flinders Island where we will meet you. The friendly folk at Flinders Island Aviation can talk you through the options for linking tours along the way.

 

There are, however, other ways to fly you and your friends or family to Flinders Island the customary way by plane where we will meet and transport you.

Walk Flinders Island have forged a career in offering guided, interpretive bush walks on Flinders Island, Tasmania and mainland Australia working for large companies such as AUSWALK. David and Kathleen Heap have dreamt for many years to offer visitors bespoke curated health and wellbeing experiences on Flinders Island. David is also a practising physiotherapist and keen gardener, whilst Kathleen is an experienced health coach, yoga and mindfulness teacher. Both are passionate advocates for self-care and reconnecting with nature. 

 

Cate Cooks is chef Cate Hardman’s newest venture located in Whitemark, Flinders Island’s ‘capital’. Cate’s culinary talents have been developed during her career of working at some of Australia’s best restaurants as well as honing her talents for flavour profiles during short stays working in Vietnam. Cate pays homage to locally sourced seasonal ingredients with her delicious creations offering both onsite catering at Faraway on Flinders Island, as well as catered morning & afternoon teas, and lunches.

  • What happens in bad weather?

    Guests will receive a list of suitable clothing etc needed for each activity in all-weather scenarios - walks and/or cold-water plunges may be adapted to more sheltered areas OR change the itinerary around if necessary. E.g. we do NOT enter the water during an electrical storm.

  • Who is this experience for/Who will it suit

    Winter wellness is suitable for folk seeking an introduction to bush walking and therapeutic yoga, with the option of experiencing cold water therapy.  For these activities, a basic level of fitness will be required.


    Both Kathleen & David are qualified, experienced walking guides, accredited Therapeutic Yoga instructors and First Aid trained. David is also a qualified Physiotherapist; Kathleen a fitness leader and an AHA Physio. The safety, comfort & well-being for guests is priority. 

  • What if I have dietary requirements?

    Sure, not a problem! Please let us know and we will accommodate you.

  • How do I book?

  • What happens once I've sent the booking enquiry?

    You will be contacted within 24-hours by your preferred method of contact.

  • What if I've never done yoga before?

    Therapeutic yoga is adaptable for anybody including beginners.

  • What should I pack?

    Warm loose clothing e.g. track pants, walking pants or tights, short and long-sleeved T-shirts, fleecy jacket, waterproof jacket, beanie, gloves, suitable walking shoes or boots, thick socks, thongs, bathers, Ugg boots or slippers, small day pack and refillable drink bottle and personal items e.g. toiletries.  

  • Insurance

    We require that you have adequate travel insurance against potential losses, damage or injury, including cancellation costs and loss of luggage.


    For all trips that require international travel, you must have purchased travel insurance that also includes medical evacuation coverage.


    We also charge a cancellation fee if you cancel your Feed Your Soul Winter 2024 experience after we have confirmed it, to cover costs incurred from our suppliers and in the office. Please see below payment terms and conditions.
