Tallebudgera Creek
Tallebudgera Creek's calm waters make it an ideal place for families with young kids to enjoy the ocean waters. Dogs are not permitted in this section of the creek, however, there is an off leash area at the northern end of Tallebudgera Beach.
Swimming
Tallebudgera Creek has one patrolled lifeguard tower:
- Gold Coast Highway at Tallebudgera Creek (beach side)
Patrolled by lifeguards between 8am and 5pm, every day between November and April
Make sure you swim in the patrolled area between the red and yellow flags.
Surfing
The waters in the creek are calm, however, surfers need only walk to nearby Tallebudgera Beach for a few waves. Surfers should always assess conditions. If in doubt, don't paddle out. For more information, visit our Surfing page.

There is carpark located off the Gold Coast Highway, beside Tallebudgera Creek and at the Tallebudgera Surf Club. Take note of parking signs and/or line markings before heading to the beach. |
About Tallebudgera Creek
Tallebudgera is known for its sparkling creek which is framed by the Burleigh Heads National Park on one side and Tallebudgera Beach on the other. The lifestyle is all about camping, swimming, picnicking, kayaking and fishing.
The Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park is so popular that generations of families return each summer to claim their favourite spot on the edge of this estuary.
Tallebudgera Creek is next to parkland that contains toilets, tables, shade structures and beach showers. There is also a dedicated oceanway, however, there is no bike parking.
