Apex Park (Snapper Rocks)

A small but beautiful park in Coolangatta, overlooking the iconic Snapper Rocks, Rainbow Bay and Froggies Beach. It's a perfect spot to enjoy a day at the beach.

Renowned among the surfing community for its impressive big-wave breaks that extend from Snapper Rocks to Kirra Beach. It is also home to a variety of annual worldwide surf events.

As the Rainbow Bay Surf Life Saving Club is located here, Rainbow Bay Beach offers a safe swimming experience with lifeguard patrols available every day from 8 am to 5 pm.

The park is on a hill and forms a few levels with pathways and stairs to assist you up and down. At the bottom is the beaches and the coastal boardwalk, further up is the picnic facilities and public toilets.

The adjoining connected park is Point Danger, which features the Walk of Remembrance and the Captain Cook Memorial and Lighthouse.

Car parking available along Snapper Rocks Road and Marine Parade.

Accessibility

A disabled parking bay is at end of Snapper Rocks Road. No disabled toilets are available. Park facilities are accessible via the connecting pathways. It is predominately stairs on the hill, however there is a ramp at Froggies Beach that leads up to the top.

Dog exercise areas

Dogs must be walked on a leash unless otherwise stated and are prohibited in all children's playground areas.

The beach and foreshore area is prohibited to dogs, signage is in place

City of Gold Coast has numerous areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.
