Home of the Arts (HOTA) Parklands

Situated behind the Council Chambers and Home of the Arts (HOTA), these parklands offer amazing views over the Nerang River and the Surfers Paradise skyline. A beautiful location for a stroll, picnic, swim, jog or a wedding ceremony.

The park features include:

Evandale Lake – an enclosed swimming lagoon for all to enjoy
HOPO Ferry Stop – to board/disembark the ferry
St Margaret's Chapel – for wedding ceremonies and church services
Fitness stations – free exercise equipment located around the park
Playground – slides and climbing equipment, sand soft-fall, fully fenced, covered by shade sails
Picnic facilities – ample shaded seating with barbecues
Outdoor showers and drinking fountains
Public toilets – state of the art facilities
Car parking – a plethora of parking at the front of HOTA.

St Margaret's Chapel

Built in 1877, St Margaret's Chapel at Bundall is a heritage-listed timber chapel nestled in the grounds of HOTA. Relocated in 1992 from its original home in Nerang, St Margaret's is a popular wedding destination and location for intimate church services.

St Margaret's Chapel is non-denominational and can be booked for weddings, christenings and church services. The chapel seats 50 people comfortably with enough standing space for 10 extra guests.

St Margaret's Chapel can be booked in 2-hour increments only.

Accessibility

Access for people with disabilities includes several disabled parking bays out the front of the parkland, near the playground. Disabled toilets with ramp available via the side gate. Pathways around and through the parkland.
