This park is a hidden gem, boasting breathtaking coastal vistas from its two stunning lookouts on top of Miami Headland. One lookout is equipped with a telescope, allowing you to marvel at the mesmerizing northern and southern coastline.

A unique feature of the park is the iconic rainbow stairs. Painted in vibrant colours, the stairs serve as a pathway connecting Burleigh to Miami. Descend the rainbow stairs to Don MacSween Park and Miami Beach.

With its panoramic views and flourishing bushland, this park is a great spot for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing family picnic.

Car parking is available in the Kelly Avenue carpark. Street parking bays are also available along The Esplanade. For more information visit Burleigh Heads parking

Public toilets are available in Ed Hardy Park at the at the bottom on the hill.

Dog exercise areas

Dogs must be walked on a leash unless otherwise stated and are prohibited in all children's playground areas.

City of Gold Coast has numerous areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.

Weddings at Mick Schamburg Park

Atop of Miami Headland, this is a beautiful wedding setting with views across the ocean and coastline. There is a grassed, hilltop available for your ceremony.

As it’s a small area, it’s only suited for smaller weddings.

Photo opportunities

  • Hillside with beautiful gardens
  • A boardwalk with two lookouts, providing a sweeping coastal backdrop.
  • North Burleigh Beach access is just 100 metres away.

Please note: Love locks will periodically be removed and discarded to protect infrastructure.

This hilltop is a moderate to steep, paved walk by your guests. Please keep this in mind for the elderly and disabled.
