Palm Beach Parklands

Palm Beach Parklands Pirate Park playground

Palm Beach Parklands is one of the best and most popular areas on the Gold Coast!

The Pirate Park will delight children of all ages. Built to resemble a pirate ship, children can play over and around the main ship hull. There are interactive panels and ropes to swing from under the hull, or cross the rope bridges, climb the rope ladders and take on the mega slide. Kids can also walk the plank, fly on the flying fox, and pretend to fire the cannons. The Pirate Park playground is soft fall with some sand base areas and partially fenced.

There are plenty of seating and picnic shelters overlooking the water as well as outdoor showers for those wishing to go for a swim in the lagoon. Or walk towards the beach for an ocean swim within the patrolled area.

There are 2 public toilet amenities (one adjoining the café and the other on the southern side of the playground).

Parking available onsite at Palm Beach Parklands Carpark.

Dog prohibited and exercise areas

Palm Beach Parklands has a dog prohibited area (a dog prohibited area is the signed part of a park, reserve, foreshore or beach where dogs are not permitted). Dogs are prohibited in all children's playground areas and within 200 metres of all flagged bathing areas.

There is an off leash dog exercise area on the beach and bayside in the adjoining Rockview public park. Access to this area is along the path through the parklands behind Dune Café.

The City of Gold Coast has numerous areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.
