Pat Fagan Park

A stunning beachside park located along Greenmount Beach and Rainbow Bay, with half of the park situated on a headland.

Walk up to the very top of the headland to find picnic shelters, tables and a barbecue, as well as the lookout, showcasing breathtaking coastal views stretching to Surfers Paradise. The headland is surrounded by lush, tall, green trees, you can even spot fascinating wildlife while exploring the area.

You can walk around the boardwalk at the bottom of the headland along the beach. This is a scenic walk with various timber viewing platforms at different levels of height and access down to the beach.

At the bottom of the headland there are more picnic facilities, barbecues, outdoor showers, and a playground.

There are 2 patrolled swimming areas:

Greenmount Beach – at the northern end of the park in front of the Greenmount Surf Club, patrolled between 8am and 5pm every day, all year round
Rainbow Bay – at the southern end of the park at Snapper Rocks, in front of Rainbow Bay Surf Club, patrolled between 8am and 5pm every day, all year round

Onsite car parking is on top of the headland or along Marine Parade.

Public toilet facilities are available.

Dog exercise areas

Dogs must be walked on a leash unless otherwise stated and are totally prohibited in all children's playground areas.

The beach and foreshore area is prohibited to dogs, signage is in place.

City of Gold Coast has numerous areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.

Accessibility

There is a disabled parking bay at the end of the headland car park and also next to the playground along Marine Parade. Disabled toilets are available. Park facilities are accessible via the connecting pathways. Some of the timber viewing platforms have stairs.
