Tarrabora Reserve

Tarrabora Reserve

Tarrabora Reserve is a popular natural parkland located on Currumbin Creek at Palm Beach.

The reserve has been a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Its location and beautiful scenery are a big drawcard. The passive recreational opportunities that include swimming, walking and picnics are also attractive. The reserve provides a visual buffer and refuge for wildlife, particularly birds and reptiles. Plant communities include:

  • important saltmarsh vegetation
  • dunal systems
  • Banksia woodland
  • closed forest.

The Reserve is under the management of the City of Gold Coast. Tarrabora Reserve Bushcare Group and the Friends of Currumbin look after the area. They continue to carry out the role of protecting the Currumbin area through volunteer bushcare works.
