Abstobys Retreat
Not very private
Unfortunately the campsite is much smaller than it’s made out to be online. It states the property is 5 acres but the camping area is very small and was full for our stay, making it feel much like a caravan park. We were woken up very early by loud children in a tent next to us.
Very swampy area with many mosquitos.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a male who had a go at me for only booking for one person when there were two of us, even though it was the same cost and a genuine mistake.
There’s a toilet and a shower which were handy.

Wonderful weekend away!
Wonderful weekend away in this lovely tent! Such a comfortable bed a great space. Lovely campsite with a beautiful hot shower and great communal facilities. Would love to come back one day.

Swampy
This was my first hipcamp experience. Upon arrival I was questioned about having 2 people instead of 1 (I thought I had put 1 vehicle on the booking) We were shown the amenities which was nice.
Website says it’s 5 acres but the camping area was compact and quite full, strong swamp smell, many mosquito’s. Woken up very early by loud children in the tent next to us. There is a toilet and shower available which was good.
