Located just 2 hours drive West of Sydney, "Edge Hill" is a 100 acre grazing property mid-way between the historic township of Lithgow and the city of Bathurst. The property offers uninterrupted views to Evans Crown Escarpment and through to the Bathurst Plains. There are 3 large dams located on the property. A mix of predominately cleared pasture along with a small area of natural timber ideal for grazing sheep and cattle. The camping site is fenced and offers level space to erect a tent or camper trailer. There is a large fire pit ideally positioned to maximise the stunning sunsets. Campers will enjoy use of the small cabin located on the site. Complete with comfy lounge, basic kitchenette, and cosy wood burner. A space to bunker down if the rough weather comes! At a glance: - 15 mins drive to Lake Lyell. Perfect for fishing or water sports - Tarana, Rydal, and Hampton Villages all within a 25 minute drive - Great country pubs in each village - Tarana & Fish Rivers within 15 minutes drive. Perfect for fly fishing and swimming - Great bushwalking nearby Pitch your tent or camper trailer and prepare to take in the panoramic views of the beautiful surrounding landscape. Enjoy ultimate privacy with no close neighbours as the property adjoins similar large acreage properties. Time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet that comes as you escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. You must have your own amenities. We recommend 4WDs to access the campsite4. 2WD vehicle access is possible except during snow. Message us prior to booking if you're unsure about your vehicle and the weather.

Amazing property and great shed!
Our 4th time here, we loved it as much as every other time! We will keep coming back to this beautiful place. I recommend anyone ignores the review from "Omar". I think "Princess Omar" would be more suited to the Sheraton or Meriton hotel room with a marble bathroom and room service! hahaha When staying out in the bush there will be wind, bugs, animals, that's WHY people go to the bush! Blake and his family are absolute superstars, so friendly and welcoming. Their property is gorgeous and the shed is amazing, SUPER warm on freezing nights.

Not superb but enjoyable.
I stayed here early July 2023 and had a good time but there was some issues. First of them was the directions, the cabin is actually 2.5km in, NOT 1km. Signage or better directions would be appreciated. Next, all the fences around the cabin are electrified which we had no indication of until one of us was zapped. Feel like this is a major thing that should be mentioned. The third problem was the shack itself, the roof is hobbled together with rusty corrugated iron and cardboard and really isn’t great at keeping rain or hail out in some places. It could also have done with a good cleaning before we arrived, the incomplete bathroom area was riddled with dead spiders and other bugs. Final issue that is more of a warning to other prospective campers is that the winds on this property can become extremely powerful. They reached up to 70km and broke our tents. Thank god for the shack having some couches. Not super private either since the shack and campground is within viewing distance of the owners home and right next to the road. Overall it was a great time with my mates and the fireplace in the shack did a good job keeping us warm but it wasn’t as great as it could’ve been.

Wonderful Hipcamp. The view was gorgeous, especially at sunset and was nice and private. The fireplace in the shed was very appreciated and wonderfully warm on our cold winter stay, we were grateful to be able to use it. The little kitchenette had everything you need. The host was great at communication and the directions were easy. If you're looking for some amazing star gazing, you cant go past this spot, with uninterrupted views of the sky. And of course some friendly cows to make friends with in the adjoining paddocks.

Peaceful and warm glamping.
Our second trip here. Such an amazing spot. Surrounded by fields and rollings hills, cattle and sheep all around the farm. The shed is amazing, the fire inside keeps it warm on the cool and frosty nights. We will certainly be back again.

Amazing warm shed and great scenery
Awesome little shed. The weather outside was cold and windy all weekend, but inside the shed its very warm indeed. The shed is insulated and with the fire going, we got too hot! Beautiful scenery around the shed, surrounded by rolling hills and farm animals too. We will definately be back soon.
