Family-friendly
Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
Relax or get involved at The Peachy; an iconic, eco friendly, off-grid animal rescue farm... privately owned and publicly loved! We feed the farm animals and collect the eggs every morning at 8am so set your alarm and join in the fun. Gypsy, your onsite hostess with the mostest, will take you on a fun-filled journey where everyone learns something! The dam is back in action after the drought and then an invasive weed taking over. There are kayaks here and they are free for everyone to enjoy. There is a nature playground for the kids, an outdoor bathtub (book with us after you have booked your site $45 or book as a 'camp site'), wood-fired pizza oven (book in the 'extras') and a well equiped community kitchen. The Peach Farm is centrally located within a 20 minute drive to close by attractions. Adventure; 4 wheel drive at Shark Bay. Swim; Iluka's famous beaches. Walk; Iluka Heritage Rainforest, from the lush rainforest to the amazing views at The Bluff. Explore; Yamba, Angourie, the Scottish town of Maclean. Our eccentric affectionate mix of farm animals will win you over in seconds especially if you grab some feed from your hosts. All of our loving animals have been rescued as a tiny baby or taken in when their owners could no longer care for them. Each site has a picnic table and a fire-pit and you can book a camp oven package if you would like to engage in some outdoor cooking. It's fun, relaxing and nothing beats a camp oven stew! Our community kitchen is a hub for get togethers and yarns, well equipped with a gas cooktop, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, a BBQ, fridge/freezer, and plenty of tables. There are fresh herbs and eggs when in plentiful supply. Please use the worm bin for all your kitchen scraps. We have an amazing composting loo but no showers yet. We are pet friendly however we do ask that you have your best friends on a leash AT ALL TIMES and please do not get too close to the alpacas, they are protectors and will become uneasy and distressed. We strongly believe in 'leaving no trace' so please be mindful of our animals, other happy campers and 'take only memories leave only footprints'. “The peach from can only be accessed heading north on the highway. If coming from the North take the Iluka exit and then just loop back to head north - 1.5km turn off is on the left straight off the Highway!"

Starry Starry Night
Fun for the kids
The Peach Farm was a huge hit with our kids (10, 8 & 2.5yrs). They had a blast running around with all the animals and playing in the playground. It’s a beautiful place for a pit stop or weekender.

Queen Peach
Very disappointed
We were a small group on site Queen Peach for a much anticipated weekend away. To be aboveboard, the site should come with the following warnings: - the generator in the shed nearby starts at 2:15am and runs until after you've had breakfast - the highway noise is unmistakable - the camp kitchen is so far away it is impractical, unless you drive to it; as is the toilet. The weather can't be helped, but even with light rain, this site becomes a quagmire and is not fit for purpose (think rice paddy). It's a mess, and the access to the site is only waiting for someone to get bogged. Effort has been made on several fronts to make this place an enjoyable family destination, with canoes, animal petting, and a kids' train (non-operational), but it screams "city camper". They've lost any semblance of a peaceful privately owned getaway. On the good side; there is a table & fire-pit provided, there were few to no insects, and we entertained ourselves after dinner each night killing cane toads. They have many great reviews, but I suspect they're from travellers much less seasoned. You decide ..... but we won't be back.

Feelin' Peachy
Farm animals and good facilities.
Excellent facilities (camp kitchen was awesome) and of course farm animals galore. We even had an after dark visit from a potoroo. Unfortunately the weather didn't play nice and led to some soggy situations, but two young daughters still gave it 100/10....mostly due to the donkeys apparently! Would love to visit again
