  • Prices are inclusive of GST. 
  • This payment will be processed by ACTIVE Network in the United States. Some banks may charge a small transaction fee according to their policies. This fee is not charged by ACTIVE Network or IRONMAN. Please contact your bank for further information. 
  • There will be an automatic increase to Tier 5 pricing at 11:59pm (AEDT) on Sunday 24 March 2024 if this Tier is not reached prior.
  • Pricing is inventory-based according to slot quantities and will automatically increase when capacity has been filled.
  • Minimum age 18 years as at Race Day.
    • All athletes must have a AusTriathlon membership to race. Existing AusTriathlon members enter using the AusTriathlon Annual Member category and it will automatically validate your AT membership through the registration process. All general entries must pay a one day race membership during the registration AUD$32.78 (Inclusive of GST). This ODL provides Personal Accident insurance for accidental death and permanent injuries while competing in the event (up to a maximum of $25,000) and Public liability insurance for property damage or injuries caused by you to others during the race. Please note this ODL does not provide coverage for: bikes, personal property damage, your out-of-pocket medical expenses or loss of income. Additional Information

  • The 2024 Athlete Waiver is available to download here.
  • All athletes must use a unique email address when registering for this event. You will create an Active.com profile when you register for the first time. This will provide you with an ACTIVE.com account which will be used for all future entries.

Please note: This event takes place in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia. It is each athlete’s sole responsibility to ensure that they can attend (including Athlete Check-In during specified times) and compete in the event on the day. Other than as provided for in the Athlete Withdrawal program set out above, no further remedies will be provided for change of mind, change of personal circumstances (including work conflicts), or injury. 

If you decide to withdraw at the event after collecting your race kit at Check-In, please advise Event Information onsite and hand your timing chip in. If you need to withdraw on race day, your details must be recorded by the Drop Out Clerk located at Event Information.  

Payment Plan

Available in the first 90 days of general entry (ends 11:59pm AEST on 13 August 2023) for full IRONMAN distance events, and subject to the following terms and conditions: 

  • Both of the TWO (2) instalments must be paid in full for an athlete to be considered a race entry and to be eligible to race.  

  • Partial payments will not be honoured as race entries. 

  • The Oceania Athlete Withdrawal Program, Oceania Transfer Program and Oceania Deferral Program are not available to athletes with a partially paid payment plan. Athletes must be paid in full to access these Programs; Payment Plan Option uses tier 3 pricing.

  • Request to defer to the following year: submit a request on or before 11:59pm (AEST) 21 March 2024. 

Note: Deferrals are only available for individual entries and athletes who elect to defer their entry forfeit any Athlete Withdrawal eligible refund. The Deferral Program is not available to athletes who have transferred or deferred into this event; or entered the event through the use of an Event Credit, partially paid payment plan, promo entry or complimentary (100% discounted) entry. All deferrals are final.

If you are unable to attend the event for any reason, you are eligible to transfer your entry (including any IRONMAN VIP Experience) to another IRONMAN or IRONMAN 70.3 in the Oceania Region with no Transfer Fee.   

  • Register into the event: on or before 11:59pm (AEST) 13 August 2023 to be eligible. 
  • Requests to Transfer: must be submitted through the Oceania Transfer Program on or before 11:59pm (AEST) 21 March 2024. 

The event you wish to transfer into must still be open for general entry and is within the same calendar year. 

Note: If there is an increase in entry fee, you will be required to pay the difference or if there is a reduction in entry fee this is not refundable. The Oceania Transfer Program is not available to athletes who have transferred or deferred into this event or entered the event through the use of an Event Credit, partially paid payment plan, promo entry or complimentary (100% discounted) entry. All transfers are final.   

Athletes are not permitted to transfer their entry to another athlete. Please note it is prohibited for someone else to compete under your name or for you to compete under someone else's name. This will result in suspension from your National Triathlon Federation and banning of both parties from future IRONMAN Oceania/Multi Sport Tri races.

If you cannot participate in the event for any reason, entry fee refunds are available in accordance with the below stated Athlete Withdrawal dates only.  After the stipulated dates, entry fees are non-refundable for withdrawals initiated by the athlete. Requests for refunds must be notified to the organiser in writing via email at australia@ironman.com
ELIGIBLE ATHLETE WITHDRAWAL REFUNDS   

Where eligible, please allow up to 30 business days for your refund to be processed. The refund is automatically issued to the credit card originally used to pay for the registration. If this card has since been cancelled or has expired, it is the athlete’s responsibility to notify our customer service team when requesting the eligible refund.  

  • 45% of entry fee refundable for athlete withdrawal requests made up to 11:59pm (AEDT) on 7 January 2024.   
  • 22% of entry fee refundable for athlete withdrawal requests made up to 11:59pm (AEST) on 28 April 2024. No refunds for athlete withdrawal after this date. 

** The following additional purchases paid for at time of entry (if any) will be refunded in addition to the entry fee: Triathlon Australia One Day Race Membership. Any other additional purchases, already paid for on your behalf by IRONMAN to a third-party service provider such as Official Event Photographer photo packages, medal engraving, are not refundable.  

***Athletes who have deferred into this event from a previous year, transferred into this event, entered through the use of an Event Credit, partially paid payment plan, promo entry or complimentary (100% discounted) entry are not eligible for athlete withdrawal refunds.

ACTIVE Refund

ACTIVE Refund is an optional purchase which may make your registration fee, and certain additional purchases, eligible for a refund if you are no longer able to attend your event for any reason (subject to the ACTIVE Refund Terms and Conditions). ACTIVE Refund requests must be submitted via the ACTIVE Refund website no less than midnight 48 hours prior to the activity start date. If available for your event registration, you will see the option to purchase ACTIVE Refund during check-out of your registration. Please note this program is run exclusively through ACTIVE Refund and all questions regarding ACTIVE Refund should be directed to support@active.com.

Wheelchairs and Prams on Course

The safety of all athletes on course is our priority. Our event team considers each race/event individually to determine the entry requirements. Due to course conditions of it being a multi-loop/multi distance run course as well as being too hilly on the bike course and too narrow the IRONMAN Australia is not suitable to be completed using wheelchairs (racing and non-racing)/handcycles or with prams. While this race is not suitable, our goal is to make everyone’s racing dreams a reality so if you would like information on other events where the course is able to accommodate wheelchair participation or any other course accessibility needs, please email us at: australia@ironman.com

The Minor’s entry is not transferable to another person or child. Any attempt to transfer the Minor’s entry or allow another person to participate under the Minor’s name may result in cancellation without refund and disqualification from participating in future Operator events.

How are IRONKIDS identified on course?
All IRONKIDS participants will have an IRONKIDS event bib to safety pin on the front of their t-shirt.  

What happens on the day?
IRONKIDS are to Check-In (with a parent/guardian) on Race day between 8:00am - 8:45am Saturday 4 May at Event Information located in Town Square, Horton Street. Check-In will also be open on Thursday 4 10am - 4pm, Friday 5 May from 10am - 6pm.

Next IRONKID’s participants are to head to the startline on Town Square, Horton Street for their fun warmup and briefing at 08.45am. 

Post warm up and briefing, IRONMAN staff will call an age group and gender one at a time into the Start Pen. IRONKIDS will be let off in age groups onto the course. 

Post-event parents and guardian must meet their child at the finish line exit after recovery, as they won’t be allowed to wander out of the finish area otherwise.  Random Draw Prizes will be presented directly after the last finisher.

Enjoy the array of Port Macquarie and Camden Haven local restaurants. Dine in your own time and to your specific tastes at your choice of participating restaurants.

Participating restaurants have joined with the event in the 2023 Athlete Restaurant Program, opening their doors to athletes from  IRONMAN Australia to show what the local community in Port Macquarie, Camden Haven and in between has to offer.

Important information: Your Athlete offer is available between Thursday 4 May and Monday 8 May at the participating restaurants. 

It is recommended that athletes make any necessary reservations at the participating restaurants.  Offer is valid for all IRONMAN Australia athletes who complete the Check-In process.

Terms & Conditions:

Volunteer Information

Volunteers

Volunteers are at the heart of our events and we are always on the lookout for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join the team and get involved.  Volunteers will be in the thick of the action and we have a variety of roles available at each event for groups and individuals to choose which shift or role suits your needs best.  From athlete registration to directing athletes at the finish line (and everything in between) we have a fabulous job for you!

We are grateful for each and every one of our volunteers, and as a thank you for your time and efforts we provide each volunteer with:

  • An event volunteer t-shirt
  • Refreshments
  • Eligible groups will receive a donation for the group’s participation.

So, if you are raising funds for a sports team, church group or a cause close to your heart, we’d love to hear from you.  Likewise, if you are an individual, supporting a loved one or would just like to be part of the volunteer team, everyone is welcome to join the volunteer family.

This is a spectacular event and we encourage our community to join, support and be part of the fun!

As a volunteer you may be asked to assist in the following areas:
