Embarking on a Winter Ascent of Mt Kosciuszko transforms a simple snow trip into an unforgettable lifetime memory, with the stunning experience of standing atopa Australia's highest peak amidst panoramic views. Starting with a chairlift ride to Eagle’s Nest in Thredbo, the journey encompasses a scenic 12km return walk through the Australian Backcountry. Additionally, this tour offers the option of a ski touring or split-board experience, catering to different preferences for exploring this ancient landscape.

WHAT TO BRING
GRADE 2: WANDERER

1. Meet your guide at the Gravity Demo Centre Storefront In Thredbo. They will help you pick up your Lift Pass for the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift.
Undertake a quick gear check and receive your Snowshoes and poles.
2. Embark on a scenic chairlift ride up to Eagle’s Nest at 1900m elevation.
3. Begin with a warm welcome and introduction to the local Indigenous culture, acknowledging the country you're in.
4. Your guide will lead you through the Australian Backcountry with your sights set on the highest point in Australia. Upon Reaching the summit you will have panoramic views of Australia’s 10 highest peaks and largest snow-covered area.
During the return journey if appropriate we will offer you the possibility of detouring via an Alpine Hut or the Inspiring Ramshead granite tors.

7. Return to the K7 Adventures storefront, Return all borrowed equipment to your guide and your guide will share any images taken during the tour.

E: This tour welcomes participants of all experience levels and can even be your first time seeing snow!
F: Your group must be able to hike comfortably for 5-6 hours with regular rest intervals. We offer half-day Snowshoe tours for those wishing to test the waters first. -
