An introduction to the philosophy behind the practice, the importance of the breath and how you can adopt simple modifications to create a practice that is suitable to your individual needs. This course offers a supportive and encouraging learning environment for absolute beginners, those working with injuries or those looking to return to yoga after taking a break from the mat.

Establishing a familiarity with the practices and movements over the 4 week period so you feel comfortable and confident to roll out your mat and get flowing.

It is an equally important time to reflect upon the lessons of the year that has past, and pause to celebrate the richness of moments in time, that will now be held as cherished memories.

Inviting you to reflect on what you have grown through and discovered about yourself so that you can heal and move forward.  It is from this space that you are now able to manifest and create a life that you’re excited to be living.

Using a powerful combination of guided gentle movement, body awareness meditation, Sankalpa (yogic resolve or promise to yourself), relaxation and journaling we will spend time fine tuning our intentions and dreams for the year to come. No previous yoga experience needed.

A one and an half hour offering with movement, mindfulness, creativity and fun!

For those who want to go a little deeper into the women’s work of ayurveda in this afternoon session we will step into the women’s wellness and mystery teachings. Using breath, sound, womb massage, clay packs and heat packs we will descend into the realm of womb dreaming to release trauma and find healing. This workshop is for all women and will support you to heal challenging menstruation, menopause symptoms, miscarriage, abortion, traumatic births and sexual assault. Yoga is an expansive and varied practice, and as a beginner it can be daunting to know where to start. Our 5 week Program is a great way to discover, learn and explore yoga movements that facilitate a deeper awareness of the body/mind connection and support healthy mobility regardless of your age, level of experience or ability - there are no prerequisites to join this course!

An introduction to the philosophy behind the practice, the importance of the breath and how you can adopt simple modifications to create a practice that is suitable to your individual needs. This course offers a supportive and encouraging learning environment for absolute beginners, those working with injuries or those looking to return to yoga after taking a break from the mat.

Establishing a familiarity with the practices and movements over the 5 week period so you feel comfortable and confident to roll out your mat and get flowing.

Cultivating Calm: An Introduction to Pranayama and Meditation

Are you curious about meditation or looking to deepen your home practice? Are you looking to Cultivate Calm in your daily life? During this 4-week introductory course we will explore the practices of pranayama, mantra japa and kriya meditation. We will discuss how these practices can deepen your yoga practice, or be used as a stand alone meditation practice to return to, time and time again.

Each session will consist of an introduction to the technique, a chance to practice, reflect, and discuss within a small group setting. Comprising of 4 x 1hr sessions over 4 consecutive weeks, this course will equip you with the tools to cultivate calm each and every day.

An understanding of yogic principles is helpful but not required for participation in this course.
