Service Description

This 2 hours of pottery wheelthrowing is designed to give you a 'taster' of what it's like to create your own pieces on the pottery wheel. It's the perfect opportunity to take a break from your busy schedule and relax into a Saturday of mindful making with clay. $145 per person The one-off pottery experience includes: * tuition on the pottery wheel by an experienced teacher * clay * use of tools/equipment * light refreshments * clear glaze firing of 3 items per person Your pieces are available to pick up 3-4 weeks after your session. Postage of items can be arranged at cost. Please note: This is a fun taster session on the pottery wheel and each person will make 3 vessels on the pottery wheel that will be finished and clear glaze fired by us. The pots will be safe for food and drink when completed. This session does not allow for artistic decoration of pots, putting handles on mugs or other more technical pottery techniques. We suggest booking into a handbuilding one-off session which provides scope for a little more artistic expression. These one-off sessions are for adults only. We do not provide these one-off sessions for under 18s. Please wear comfortable clothing and covered shoes. Best to remove all jewellery and trim finger nails for an immersive experience. Aprons are provided to use on the day. (Clothes and shoes may get clay splatters on them. Clay washes off)
