Jim Brown/

Jim Brown worked for many years as a TV journalist  and presenter for Channel 10, following a storied career as a policeman. He was born a Kiwi, but later moved to Australia, and is one of our best proponents of the power and beauty of the spoken word. He has won major Australian poetry and songwriting competitions, and teaches students the gentle art of story telling.

Geraldine Gray/

Geraldine Gray is a highly-regarded stage performer with spoken and delivered performance experience from across the country. Her stagecraft experience working in front of both public and business punters explains her ability to get any audience leaning in, craving for more of her story. And of her voice. Better still, she will tell you how to do it yourself.

Annette Reed/

Annette Reed is a storyteller born, raised and living her entire life in rural Australia. Once a teacher and social worker and on the verge of publishing her first book, she now digs her hands deep into garlic and tomato soil but never forgets her human roots. She brings a refreshing ability to tell stories that engage and inspire, but which remind her audience that her story is their story - of resilience and strength.

Jeremy Torr/

Jeremy Torr was born in rural England, and grew up surrounded by tales of the countryside. He has worked as a journalist in Europe, Asia and Australia. Still searching for the perfect story, he has picked up plenty of tips on the way. The fact his mother was Irish, and scared him witless with tales of the Little People, Bad Tinkers and Cunning Leprechauns has not put him off storytelling. At all ...

Moran Wiesel/

Moran Wiesel is a spoken word poet, storyteller, eco-therapist, and musician. An established teller and award-winning creator of myths, their words are earth words, inspired by our intimate connection with the world’s soul, and the spectacular vibrancy of lutruwita. When not performing around lutruwita, Moran can mostly be found dancing with trees, listening for stories to emerge.

Young Dawkins/

Young Dawkins is an internationally published, award-winning poet and performer. He was Scottish Slam Champion in 2011, and his second collection, Slow Walk Home, was longlisted for the Tim Thorne Prize in 2022. He is a two-time winner of the Huon Valley/Willie Smith's Winter Festival StoryTelling Cup and bases his stories on personal journeys across time and continents. Some of them are even true.

Rachel Welsh/

Rachel Welsh is an accomplished storyteller who has devoted many years to learning and practicing the art of Storytelling. With a warm, authentic presence, she shares folktales, myths, wonder tales and biographical stories. Rachel’s guiding compass is connection, compassion, creativity and courage; and invites listeners to open their hearts, minds and imaginations to her stories.

Claire van Ryn/

Claire van Ryn is a Launceston-based published fiction author who explains her craft as the stitching together of a thousand smaller truths. Her latest book, Secrets of the Huon Wren by Penguin showcases her skill as a storyteller who loves to explore, be it in the annals of her family history, or, when it comes to her children, trying to decide whether to reward imagination or ground them for a week!
