Can you take the heat?
For the bravehearts, a choice of four chilli challenges to set the stage on fire!
Fiery Pod Challenge – Our good friends and sponsors Jeff and Deb of Bundaberg Produce Movers will be sending down the Queensland heat for this iconic challenge to consume a range of pods from Jalapeno through to Reaper.
Volcanic Wing Challenge – Presented by our sponsor RayRayz Kitchen and seasoning by Rob Dunn of Australian Extreme Chilli Condiments, this will be a five wing endurance challenge.
BC Jerky Challenge – Blake of BC Jerky is preparing some wicked Reaper Jerky to test the limits of our brave competitors on the day. It’s a race to finish a set amount of jerky within a set time-frame. Blake is putting together some great prize packs for winner and contestants, so get in the running if you love to chew on jerky, hot or not.
Napalm Noodles Challenge – We’re bringing some Tasmanian heat up for this challenge. Rob Dunn of Australian Extreme Chilli Condiments will be bringing up some Van Diemens Land heat to make this a spicy broth of messy noodle madness – of course you’ll need to use chopsticks, so get practising.
$15 to enter each challenge. Maximum 12 contestants.
$100 Cash, Trophy and Chilli Goodies for the Winner of each Challenge
Chilli Goodies for all participants to reward them for their brave (and insane) efforts!

OUR GUEST CHEFS
On a mission to show you how easy it is to prepare delicious food with spice and smoke, Sydney’s Chef Simonetta will be teaming up with Liam Crawley (Sydney) will be on centre stage doing what they do best! Of course, there will be enough to share.
Jeffrey Simonetta is an Australian–Italian Chef whom has worked under some of Australia’s most influential Chefs, including an apprenticeship at Sydney’s famous Rockpool Restaurant as a result of topping Australia in cookery school.
“To be Italian is to be passionate. …. It means to belong to a gene pool influenced by some of the most interesting cultures in history and translate those onto a plate”.
Growing up in Australia with such a multi-cultural food influence, his training in fusion cooking, and the easy availability of amazing produce have provided a perfect platform for Jeff to showcase his creativity.
Visit Jeffrey’s website for details of cooking classes and more!
LIAM CRAWLEY
With over 25 years of experience in the culinary world, Liam is a master of transforming fresh ingredients into memorable dining experiences. A qualified butcher, keen fisherman and all-round fan of eating fresh-as-possible produce, Liam is also a “bespoke” hired-gun chef. Follow Liam’s adventures on Instagram Cook it like Crawley – he’s always off to some great destinations in search of fresh produce!
LIVE MUSIC
Great live music is always peppered in between the chilli challenges on stage. We welcome the guitar maestro, Sean Mullen, who will also showcase tunes from his Satriani Tribute. He’ll be joined by Sandra Beynon on vocals as together they become Missy Vader and the Dark Force, Queensland’s premier, powerhouse duo.
Philip John has just returned from five years in Europe, performing his solo improv shows as well as collaborations with other musicians.
Philip has released several albums – find them on Spotify.
