Bream Creek Farmers Market is a produce based market held at the Bream Creek Show Grounds on the first Sunday of every month, showcasing growers, cooks, brewers, producers and makers, from South Eastern Tasmania and beyond.  The Market has a focus on locally grown, fresh and seasonal produce which is sold directly by the people who grow and make it.

The Bream Creek Farmers Market is run entirely by a volunteer committee who are all passionate about supporting the local community and economy, supporting small, local businesses and providing an opportunity to purchase the best and freshest local produce.  We are proud to have an exciting and every-changing variety of produce available – seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables, honey, olive oils, nuts, baked goods and cakes, ready to eat snacks and lunches, take-home meals, wines, ginger beers and ciders, coffee, seedlings and plants, condiments, jams, preserves and so much more.

Our location overlooking the green, rolling hills of Bream Creek is second to none and a fabulous atmosphere is provided by live music and children’s activities such as face painting.  We love seeing our visitors kick back on the grass to enjoy a coffee or glass of local wine and some lunch with their baskets of locally goodies overflowing beside them!

The Market started in December 2012 and has been running continuously ‘ (except for the January 2013 Market which was cancelled due to the bushfires).

In December 2013, we published The Bream Creek Farmers Market Cook Book – a hard back, professionally photographed cook book with over 70 recipes from stallholders and the community.  This book was the best-selling non-fiction book at Fullers Bookshop in December and has received extremely positive reviews and feedback from the community.  The Cook Book is available for purchase at the Market and many Tasmanian bookshops and businesses.  All profits from the book go back to supporting the Market and a percentage also goes to the Dunalley Primary School Association to help rebuild the school after it was burnt down in the January 2013 bushfires.

We welcome Expressions of Interest from new Stallholders and hope to see you at the next Market.
