Mark and Wendy are meticulous hosts. They offer you the chance to participate in their working Emu farm or learn about off grid living. Mark and Wendy guide you as little or as much as you want. Mask and Wendy have an awesome observatory for star gazing. They strike the right balance between privacy, and involvement the various activities they have available. The Yurt accommodation is extremely comfortable using off-grid power to fire up aircon when required, pay TV and kitchen appliances. The spa on the deck is awesome. It's a great place to relax. Sit by the creek, in one of the picturesque outcrops, float in the spa, or in front of the fire.Good disabled accessibility also. You should all go!

This property is superb. The lovely accommodation is set on a gorgeous 80 acres. The self contained house has a beautiful deck which overlooks the emu farm. The accommodation is close to the Warrumbungles and for keen walkers it is perfectly positioned. For those who love the night skies there is no better. Mark and Wendy spent the first evening with us at their personal observatory/ telescope sharing their immense knowledge and beautiful clear skies. For those interested in regenerative practices it is a must. And no matter what you think of emus now you will leave falling a little in love with them. Mark and Wendy are extraordinary hosts. They attended to all our needs from welcoming us to farewelling us. And their vision for this property is to be commended. The setting, the silence and the stars make this a very special place to visit. We can’t recommend it enough.

Our family had an awesome experience at Mark & Wendy’s Emu farm. The Yurt was spotlessly clean and so comfortable- the hot spa at night was a welcome relaxing treat after an exciting day. The kitchen and facilities has everything you need. The farm safari was a highlight for us - we even got to cuddle with the Emu’s - & learning about their experiences and the Emu’s ( and Alpacas) . Their love for their Emu’s was clear! The children (and us) enjoyed our deck overlooking one of the Emu paddocks to see these amazing birds throughout our stay. Our evening Observatory Experience with Mark’s commentary was also another wonderful experience we will remember! I think we will be back ! The country side around Coonabarabran is also just beautiful!

Mark and Wendy were exceptional hosts. Their hospitality was absolutely amazing and they really thought through the experience. Interacting with the emus was such a unique experience. Both Wendy and Mark have such a wealth of knowledge about agriculture, astronomy and most importantly the emus and it was so lovely to be able to learn a little bit more. The accomodation was so nice, we especially loved the jacuzzi and sitting outside with the curious emus.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Mark and Wendy are great hosts and they make you feel welcomed and at home from the minute you arrive. The emu safari and sky watching adventure are unique experiences that are enhanced by Mark and Wendy’s vast knowledge. To top it off, the lodge is just spectacular! It is so clean, beautifully designed and has a huge deck with a spa and Weber BBQ overlooking the paddocks. Highly recommend!
