Homeleigh Grove Olives

Homeleigh Grove Olives is located on the ACT/NSW border a few kms north of Canberra and within sight of Canberra’s landmark Black Mountain Tower.

We are a small grove of about 2,000 trees and produce a wide range of olive products.

We are progressively building a sustainable grove with minimum irrigation and the use of organically recognised fertilizers and pesticides.

Our Olive Products

Even with such a relatively young grove, the annual harvest has already reached up to 30 tons, of which over a tonne is hand picked for table olives.

The grove has now produced some great oils and table olives of medal winning quality, the oils achieving medals and trophies every year.

We are signatories to the Code of Practice for the Australian Olive Industry and are now entitled to use the AEV logo for extra virgin oils.

Environmental factors ensure subtle changes in oil character each year. However, the Homeleigh Grove label is always a fruity mild to medium oil with a tinge of pepperness.

Our exclusive range of flavoured / infused oils have our award winning Extra Virgin Olive Oil as their base. Before adaption, each flavoured oil is discussed with our customers in relation to flavour, style, intensity and character, before it is adopted as a permanent member of our range.

Our Table Olives are hand picked and de-bittered using traditional salt-brine method. All the olives have pits - reliable pitting machines today are serious industrial gear and as boutique growers this is not for us!

Varieties

We have three vinegars that are complementary to our Extra Virgin Olive Oils and are great on their own. One is a delightful balsamic and the other a citrus apple vinegar which was especially designed for us, embracing the qualities of the oil and the richness of the citrus fruits of our region.
