We found the reception staff to be excellent, the location was fabulous but house keeping was less than average and we had problems with the heating throughout our stay. It was not a terrible experience, but I would not stay there again.

As always, IBIS Hobart is my hotel of choice in this city. It has all the things I expect from a great hotel e.g. clean rooms, sincere and friendly service, all the modern amenities I need. IBIS Hobart has a beautiful infinity pool and sauna. It has an excellent restaurant and fabulous bar /coffee house that boasts a great breakfast. It has a gorgeous view over Battery Point and the river. It is so close to town and the docks and especially the Salamanca Markets. I know I sound like an ad but I really do love this hotel.

I enjoyed the hotel very much but a few things that could be improved is the pool needs to be heated a little bit more as you can’t feel that the pool is heated and it would be handy if the rooms had a microwave oven for people that are on a budget. Just for one meal a day at least. I brought soup and I didn’t realise the room didn’t have a microwave. Other than that it was good 😌
