Discover the harmonious fusion of Persian-inspired tunes by Ø¢ÙˆØ§ÛŒ رود / Avaye Rood coming to Queanbeyan this May on their South of Sydney Tour.

Formed in 2006 under the musical vision of Behzad Ansari, this ensemble has been making waves globally - from Iran, Germany, Greece, to Australia and beyond. Their music is harmonious fusion of Persian-inspired originals, seamlessly weaving together English and Persian verses inspired by Rumi. The band's name, translating to 'sound of the river,' pays homage to an ancient Iranian instrument, evoking the spirit of a lute.

A Sweet Sunday Session with Celtic Tunes
Sunday 5 May | 1-4pm | $10-$20

Come and enjoy the magical journey that these experienced and accomplished musicians will take you on, as they share their love and passion for Celtic music.

Humbug has been one of Canberra‘s best known and most accomplished Celtic bands for many years.

It is now a trio featuring Simone Dawson on vocals, flute and whistles, Rachel Antone on vocals and percussion and Mal Bennett on vocals and guitar. Their vast repertoire of well and lesser known Celtic songs, range from poignant Irish and Scottish ballads to rousing, toe tapping songs and lively tunes.

Together, Dave O'Neill and Jo Cresswell will create a musical experience which captures the passion, poetry and power of the Celtic tradition, spiced with flavourings of French music and jazz.
