About Copeton Waters Holiday Park

If you own anything with the words Gone Fishin’ on it, Copeton Waters Holiday Park is the place for you. This fishing mecca has plenty of other activities to keep the family entertained, so they’ll be none the wiser when you ‘accidently’ book a holiday at one of Australia’s greatest fishing spots. In fact, it’s one of the only places in Australia where you can fish giant Murray cod all year round.

This countryside spot in New South Wales is just 40 minutes from Inverell and about 90 minutes from Armidale and similar from Glen Innes, and Warialda. These charming towns are sure to wow you, but don’t use up all your excitement because Copeton Waters Holiday Park offers stunning waterfront access which means more time to reel in some big ones.

When it comes to accommodation, choose between a cosy cabin or the bunkhouse if you’re a large group. Alternatively, pitch your tent or park your campervan at our powered and unpowered sites. All of them are easy access and dogs are welcome too (so long as they know not to pinch your neighbour’s catch of the day).

As for other things to do, there’s almost as many options as there are Murray cod. The waterpark is a hit with the young and young-at-heart, while the mountain bike track offers 11kms of adventure for the daring. And if you’re up for it, the rustic tennis courts are ready and waiting for you to test your skills.

There’s also a great conference centre, camp kitchen, takeaway shop, laundry, fuel station, and BBQ area for all your essentials. And once you’ve seen how happy (and quietly exhausted) the kids are after their time with the school holiday activities and playground, you might start counting those amenities as campground essentials too.

Even if fishing isn’t your thing, Copeton Waters Holiday and Caravan Park has enough going on to keep you busy or just lounging back, watching the clouds drift by as your worries float away like forgotten fishing lines.
