2-DJ’s, 3-trumpets, 3-saxophones, 2-congas, 1-djembe and collection of dancefloor gems collected from all corners of the earth - Bare Necessities Collective brings an unstoppable energy.

Traversing Afrobeat, Champeta, Soukous, Amapiano, Afrohouse, Dancehall (among others), the collective of Klue, Sam Z (Miguelito), True Vibenation’s Vuli and Moody, Dom Diaz (ex- Majun Bu), Zhee Lin (Ile Ilu), and Dean Ginsberg, are known for their wild rooftop parties - frenetic dancing, blaring trumpets, and thumping percussion.

In between rooftops, the crew provide your weekly world tour to dance floors across the globe on Bare Necessities Sunsets on FBi Radio 94.5FM (Winner of CBAA Best Music show, 2020), every Tuesday night.

Munasib is your favourite artist’s favourite DJ, keeping company with burgeoning local talent and sharing stages with international superstars. The Australian born, Bengali DJ marks a sea change in Australian dance culture, reflecting the plurality of the country’s multiculturalism with sets that as easily include Bollywood beats as Vince Staples’ ‘Norf Norf.’

Based in Eora/Sydney, Munasib surrounds herself with good art and good curators, a member of tastemakers Astral People, emerging South Asian collective Kerfew, and providing various mixes for FBi Radio and triple j. Combining baile funk with local hip-hop, alte cruise with amapiano, and traditional Bengali music with experimental trap, Munasib has already taken the stage at Splendour in the Grass and Sydney Opera House this year alone.

Clypso is a Sydney based producer and vocalist, whose sound is a collage of hyperactive beats, grimey basslines and global tropical music culture inspired electronica, or as she describes it, “troppo chilli flakes”. Clypso blends and blurs tongue-in-cheek samples with urban laments over jungle beats and shiny synth riffs.

Clypso has already garnered a slew  of notable nods and achievements in the past year including  reaching the Top 10 on the Australian Viral 50 Spotify playlist, triple j Unearthed Artist of  the Week, and FBi Radio’s Independent Artist of the Week as well as performing at festivals Listen Out, Spilt Milk, Festival of the Sun, Lost Paradise and Meredith Festival.

Common People Dance Project welcomes people of all ages and all abilities with no previous dance experience necessary.

In the past we’ve attracted whole families, ex-professional dancers, people that that have never danced before, pregnant women, seniors, people with disabilities, non-English speaking students, a security guard and his dog and really anyone who just wants to learn fun dance choreography with a group of people and not feel self-conscious.

We draw on a variety of dance styles, teaching choreographic moves to the best songs ever.

Inspired by Tasmanians’ love of gardening, Terrapin takes the inner life of compost to great heights – literally – with Heap, a new roving performance featuring an ambitious amateur horticulturalist and a giant, unwieldy compost creature. Designed by master puppet maker Bryony Anderson in collaboration with Moonah Primary School and constructed entirely out of salvaged materials, Heap will engage green (and black) thumbs of all ages.

Children are presented with a kit of open-ended items which can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, lined up, and taken apart and put back together in countless ways. No prescribed play and limited rules mean that imaginations can run wild in the ultimate kids creative play experience.

Reverse Garbage is Australia’s largest creative reuse centre. Every year we save over 260 tonnes of valuable resources from languishing in landfill and educate over 16,000 people on the important of reuse… and we achieve all this as a self-funded not-for-profit charity. Reverse Garbage was established in 1975 by a group of teachers and community workers determined to ease pressure on the environment.

Guru Dudu’s Silent Disco Walking Tours feature spontaneous flash mobs, interpretative dance, group singing and lots of fun interaction with onlookers. It’s all about play, love and laughter.

Everyone wears headphones tuning in to a hilarious guided tour through a select playlist of uplifting dance favourites from the 70s to the modern era.
